All day battery life? Two day battery life? Make that 3 day battery life with no charge needed and under normal use, talk and data. That’s what the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD can give you. At least it did for me under my tests.
The screen on the Maxx HD is brilliant and I was easily able to view it under sunlight. Videos were crisp on the Super AMOLED 720p display. Pictures showed beautifully as well. If you are inclined, there is a mini-HDMI port on the side for watching content on a TV or monitor.
There are two cameras, a rear 8 megapixel and a front-facing 1.3 megapixel. The rear camera took great pictures for being a small CCD. Anyone who knows their photography knows a cellphone camera will not give you the same quality pictures of even a mid-range point and shoot but I’ll mark the camera here as acceptable.
The overall feel of the device is great. It did not fell like it wanted to slip easily from my hand like some other models and had no give to a slight squeeze. Very good construction overall.
Where the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD shines is battery life. Under moderately heavy use of voice, data, texting, gaming and streaming occasionally video via Netflix I went for 3 days before needing a charge.
Overall, I can highly recommend the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD, especially if you’re a heavy user and find yourself needing a charge constantly on your present device.
